Getting more solar to the grid with Endeavour Energy

I was really proud to lead SwitchDin this week as we took our place with Endeavour Energy as it announced its groundbreaking Flexible Exports service in NSW.

This service lets rooftop solar households export more power to the grid, saving them money and earning it. It’s a real win:win for all of us, demonstrating how SwitchDin’s technology can boost the capacity of Australia’s grid by harnessing our abundant clean energy, safely and securely.

And for everyday Aussies it means a tangible financial return as we speed up our transition to a more resilient clean energy network.

As Endeavour Energy’s GM Future Grid, Colin Crisafulli said, “With Flexible Exports we expect to contribute 600 MW of additional renewable energy capacity, enough electricity to power 75,000 homes for a year.”

And in dollar terms that equates to more than $100 million in additional solar exports.

What’s not to like? And the best thing is, that in the long run, even those without rooftop solar will be able to benefit.
